Pop.Up Next Virtual Reality Experience

Dubai Motor Show visitors will be able to get on board Italdesign’s project for future mobility: Pop.Up Next - a vision of the potential offered by future technologies, the new concept of transportation and the new solutions for resolving the problems linked to city planning and traffic. Pop.Up combines the flexibility of a small two seater ground vehicle with the freedom and speed of a vertical take-off and landing (VTOL) air vehicle, thus bridging the automotive and aerospace domains. The core of the product is therefore the Intermodality and making it modular.

Italdesign’s Virtual 3D experience will allow the visitors to fully interact with Pop.Up Next, opening the doors, getting onboard, and operating it as if it were real.

Italdesign 3D modelling

Since the early 90s Italdesign has been one of the first private company to invest on cutting-edge technology and one of the first to have its own Virtual Reality Center and offer creative and styling services using virtual reality on a 1:1 scale. Italdesign kept investing to update hardware and software, often anticipating global trends.

This year, at the Dubai Motor Show, Italdesign will show the visitors the 3D virtual modelling: a new technique where a designer will literally sculpt a car in a 3D virtual environment. Visitors will be able to watch the performance on a dedicated screen, from the designer’s point of view.
