Middle East's Premier Automotive Show Opens Tomorrow with 13 Global Launches, 40 Regional Launches and 200 New Models
The Dubai International Motor Show opens tomorrow, bringing to the Middle East the latest and greatest models the global automotive industry has to offer.
Running from 16 - 20 December 2009 at the Dubai International Convention and Exhibition Centre (DICEC), the Dubai International Motor Show welcomed hundreds of the world's media today to the official press day, as it prepared to celebrate its 10th anniversary. This highly anticipated event will showcase a record 13 exclusive global debuts, 40 regional launches and hundreds of exciting 2010 models from top name manufacturers.

"The recognition of the Dubai International Motor Show as a truly international event has never been more evident than this year, with an unprecedented number of manufacturers choosing Dubai as the global stage for the unveiling of their new marques and models," said Helal Saeed Almarri, CEO, Dubai World Trade Centre. "The response to this year's show, and the continued commitment of the global motoring industry even in these challenging times, makes the celebration of our 10th anniversary even more meaningful."
In addition to the hundreds of gleaming new cars on display for the first time, there are also an endless range of exciting activities, special offers and a daily competitions that could see visitors winning six exciting new cars worth more than AED 1.5 million in the Mega Car Prize draw, which will be conducted on 20 December 2009 at 8pm.
This year's show is packed with activities and events which include the dazzling gold leafing of a luxury Lexus, the chance to get behind the wheel of an F1 racing car, a fun-filled Green Trail Adventure Quest that takes younger visitors through the motor show to find the green and environmentally-friendly highlights on exhibitors' stands, off-road driving tracks, test drives, and a chance to meet Russ Wicks, the fastest man on land and water.
The Dubai International Motor Show runs in conjunction with the inaugural Outdoor Adventure Dubai 2009, the UAE's only complete outdoor adventure and sporting event. The co-location of the two events offers a natural synergy for visitors looking to find the latest in the motoring industry, while exploring products and equipment for a wide variety of outdoor land and water activities.
Opening hours are from 11am to 10pm each day except Friday 18 December 2009, when the show will be open from 3pm to 10pm. Tickets cost AED 40 per person for the Dubai International Motor Show, or AED 50 for entrance to both Dubai International Motor Show and Outdoor Adventure Dubai, which takes place concurrently.
Both tickets include free entry into the Mega Car Prize Draw for 6 cars valued over AED 1.5 million.
